My first trip to Greece was when I was four years old. I have few memories of the place, but many of my family and the cultural differences. My mother tried her best to take us as much as possible so we could visit our family and grasp how lucky we were because of where we came from, but also where we ended up.
The summer before my senior year in high school was the summer I really took it all in. It was also around this time that my camera never left my side, but it was a Kodak point and shoot and when I got my film back it did not seem to capture what I could see.
The images here are the images from my last trip to Greece, I was 23, just about to graduate Brooks Institute. I used this opportunity as an independent study. The whole experience was life changing in many ways. This time I was able to shoot with a digital SLR camera with the knowledge of how to use it. These images are Greece through my eyes in the small towns and villages my family live in.
